General Election, I Have One Question Where Is the British Black Agenda?

Im calling out some of our Black British organisations. Please share this to facilitate accountability and promote discussion.

Why is there no UK race equality agenda/manifesto for what is, without doubt the most singularly most important #GeneralElection2019 of our life time?

Has anyone seen an Black political agenda ? Been asked about an agenda, or are some belatedly planning an election manifesto for black rights? Let me assist you dear reader, I have made the enquiries and the response is... no.

Conversely, when I was in a position of power and had access to resources, as I’ve had in the past, I always brought together organisations and published an election
agenda/manifesto for previous general elections.

For this election, the UK Back community and its organisations, have no agenda, no manifesto, no leadership, no demands and what compounds this absence of an agenda, is this catastrophic failure of leadership, and this all takes place at a time when racism in Britain is going through the roof. I despair...

While my time has come and gone, and these days I have no such access to such resources, I would have expected some of our leading organisations, with both staff and resources, to pull something together and produce a document, the ten things you should demand of MP’s ect...endorsed by a broad range of leading black organisations.

That's the bare minimum we should expect from them, given they spend all year applying for funding in our name, but are now, to be found to be cowering, hiding underneath their beds during this Brexit election..

Key CORE Member Anti Race Think Tank Runnymede Trust
Ethical leadership demands that those who speak on our behalf, and claim to lead and are accountable to us. In the UK the Government decides whom our leaders are along with a bunch of white charitable funders. In effect white funding decides who our leaders are.

Today, as we stand, we Black Britain, have absolutely nothing to say, and apparently, in this desperately enfeebled state, we are happy to have no demands, with nothing to say on issues such as immigration, justice, education, employment, school exclusions and equal rights.

We have no players on the field of play, in the political equivalent of a super bowl.

Given that this lamentable state of affairs, can you help me pose a question to our so called "leaders' the top table black leadership team of CORE ?

First some background, have you ever heard (please comment below and let me know)of the Coalition of Race Equality Organisations (CORE)?

In existence for over 10 years, and they've are literally drawing down funding in our name all that time. They've recently advertised a full time post, yet they are a parasitic, leach of a movement that cynically secures funding in our name whilst feeding themselves fat salaries.

Do let me know have you ever heard of a single thing they've ever done? They are run by Race On The Agenda a title that is somewhat ironic given they're is no agenda for this election.

Core is made up of 14 national and some local black organisations. Now let me say form the jump, some members are much more credible than others for sure, the question we should ask of those credible organisations within CORE is why are you, co-signing and indulging this failure?

You can find our more about Rotten to the Core here....https://www.rota.org.uk/

It includes, Voice 4 Change and the the premier UK's race political race 'think tank' organisation that is forever in the media speaking on our behalf, the Runnymede Trust

The organisation below Race On The Agenda has recently been funded to lead CORE...here are their details. Contact them and ask them what their doping and be interested to hear thier response because when yiu hist the web site its moribund, dead, no meaningful activity...

Can you help me ask of those organisations who are funded and claim to represent us, what’s going on?

I have strong concerns that such is the deep fear among some of our funded orgs, they just don’t have the minerals for the job.

They saw what happened to me whilst in power, traduced by unfounded smear and innuendo, and now with Boris in power, blacks in London Boris Johnson will do the same to them.

They fear being seen to be too ‘political’, during these desperately fractious times, so much so, that no-one wants to take the lead.

Race hate crimes are rising, instutional racism is rising, racial inequalities in health, wealth and injustice have risen to their highest ever recorded levels;

Black youth prison population increased by 45% last year, Black youth youth unemployment is 55%
Adult unemployment is at highest ever rate, with
Black women are seeing the highest rate of rising unemployment, and they traditionally provided the income, that kept the black community afloat.
School exclusions are through the roof.
Social mobility in the black community is the lowest it’s ever been.
Black poverty? its the highest it’s ever been...

If these organisations can't work together to lead in these times of crisis, then they should step aside and let those who can do the work, get on and do it. If not they should be held to strong account.

And white organisations love to fund quite black failure...what were the funders like Jospeh Rowntree Trust doing?

And so, whilst racism is at an all time high, they cower like frightened lambs.

Someone tell me I’m wrong. I call fo a national debate about whose leading our community and what is their effectiveness and accountabilities to us, the community in whose name they draw down high amounts of corn.

Let's declare 2020 the year of Black Accountability. #2020BCA

Background to CORE

The Coalition for Race Equality brings together many of the UK's leading black and minority ethnic voluntary and community organisations for the promotion of race equality. The Secretariat for the Coalition for Race Equality will be provided by a partnership between Race on the Agenda (ROTA) and Voice4Change England (V4CE) with ROTA as the lead partner, the employer and the financially accountable body. The two organisations have close ties and significant experience of coordinating and servicing networks of BAME organisations to campaign on race equality issues.

V4CE and ROTA support the Black and Minority Ethnic Voluntary and Community Sector to enable BAME populations to actively shape collective life and to build an inclusive and equal society, free of racism and other forms of discrimination. This partnership will support CORE as a dynamic, coherent and relevant voice for policy development, campaigning and local, regional and national action. V4CE and ROTA are founder members of CORE. Both organisations are charitable companies. ROTA and V4CE both have accessible premises.
